Landfill Owner

A turnkey landfill gas
upgrading solution

Waga Energy delivers a fully integrated solution that turns landfill gas into biomethane, directly injected into the grid. We finance, build, own, and operate the unit — boosting your site’s environmental performance and generating long‑term revenue, with zero investment or operational burden.

Our Strenghts

Up to 100% project financing

Waga Energy can fund the entire project – from feasibility studies to construction, operation and connection to the gas grid.

A stable, long-term revenue stream

Biomethane production provides landfill owner with predictable, recurring income secured by long term contracts.

Fast to implement

WAGABOX® units are generally commissioned within 12 to 24 months following the signing of the contract, depending on the administrative timelines in force in the country.

Adaptable to any landfill

A standardized solution engineered to fit a wide range of landfill sizes (starting at 250 scfm of raw biogas), enabling efficient deployment across diverse sites.

Guaranteed efficiency even with air intrusion

Waga Energy’s proven WAGABOX® technology delivers high performance and maximizes biomethane yields — even under significant oxygen or nitrogen intrusion.

95% uptime commitment

Fully automated WAGABOX® units run 24/7 with remote monitoring and predictive maintenance supported by extensive sensor data, delivering reliable, uninterrupted performance under a contractual 95% uptime commitment.

Local value creation

WAGABOX® units help build a local circular economy by supplying nearby homes and businesses with renewable gas produced from local waste. This strengthens local energy independence while reducing waste management cost and cutting odors and greenhouse gas emissions.

Turnkey Landfill Gas
to Biomethane Partnership

Entrusting your landfill biomethane project to Waga Energy means developing a custom-tailored project, designed and driven by our team of experts for long-term performance.

Gas forecast & recommendation

At the foundation of every project, Waga Energy conducts a thorough assessment of the landfill’s biomethane potential. By combining detailed site information, waste characterization, and our unique expertise in developing landfill gas to biomethane injection projects, we generate a robust forecast of landfill gas generation and biomethane output over the coming years. This analysis ensures the optimal sizing of the WAGABOX® unit and delivers clear technical and economic recommendations to maximize gas recovery, long term revenue, and environmental performance for our partners.

Gas forecast & recommendation

Waga Energy works closely with landfill operators to design a tailored landfill‑gas‑to‑biomethane injection solution. We analyze all technical, regulatory, and commercial parameters – including grid connection, WAGABOX® unit sizing, permitting, and biomethane sales – to ensure the project is optimized from the outset. This comprehensive development phase lays the foundation for a transparent, mutually beneficial long‑term partnership, with contractual commitments based on a clear and robust understanding of the project.

Gas forecast & recommendation

With Waga Energy’s turnkey model, landfill operators can unlock the value of their gas with no upfront investment. Waga Energy fully finances the project and assumes all capital expenditures, taking charge of every stage – from design and installation to start‑up and long‑term operation. This approach enables reliable, long‑term revenue from biomethane with no financial risk for the operator. All financial models are validated by leading banks and independent auditors, ensuring transparency and long‑term security.

Gas forecast & recommendation

Each WAGABOX® project is led by a dedicated team working closely with the landfill operator from construction through commissioning. Waga Energy pre assembles and tests the equipment in its workshops while managing the balance of plant and grid interconnections – significantly shortening construction time and accelerating start up. Once delivered, the equipment is connected to the landfill gas capture system, the electrical supply, and the local gas grid. Expert supervised pre commissioning and commissioning ensure a safe, reliable start up and a seamless transition to biomethane injection.

Gas forecast & recommendation

Waga Energy ensures the long term performance of every WAGABOX® unit through advanced automation, real time data monitoring, predictive maintenance, and continuous R&D innovation. All units are fully automated and supervised 24/7 from our control centers in France, Canada, and the United States, with regional technicians able to respond on site in under two hours. Each system benefits from ongoing performance and safety upgrades developed by our R&D teams.

Gas forecast & recommendation

Once the WAGABOX® unit is operational, Waga Energy’s Energy Team takes over to manage biomethane sales and market performance. Leveraging deep market expertise, we secure long-term offtake agreements at optimal prices, while navigating regulatory requirements and energy market dynamics. Every unit of gas is optimized for revenue and project economics, with certified sustainability credentials. This approach ensures full value creation from landfill gas, predictable returns, and transparent reporting of environmental performance.
