Essa parceria inclui a constru\u00e7\u00e3o e a opera\u00e7\u00e3o de uma unidade WAGABOX\u00ae, capaz de produzir at\u00e9 14.074 m\u00b3\/dia de biometano \u2014 quantidade suficiente para abastecer mais de 2.280 resid\u00eancias por ano. Ao capturar e purificar o biog\u00e1s, o projeto evitar\u00e1 a emiss\u00e3o de 10.000 toneladas de CO\u2082 equivalente por ano, contribuindo para a transi\u00e7\u00e3o energ\u00e9tica.<\/p>\n<p>O aterro sanit\u00e1rio de H\u00e9bertville-Station recebe at\u00e9 203.500 toneladas de res\u00edduos por ano. Atualmente, o biog\u00e1s gerado \u00e9 capturado e queimado em tocha. A partir de 2026, a unidade WAGABOX\u00ae purificar\u00e1 esse biog\u00e1s e o injetar\u00e1 na rede de distribui\u00e7\u00e3o, oferecendo uma alternativa renov\u00e1vel ao g\u00e1s natural f\u00f3ssil para resid\u00eancias e empresas da regi\u00e3o.<\/p>\n<p>O estudo de viabilidade do projeto recebeu um financiamento de CA$ 300.000 (\u20ac 200.000) do Minist\u00e9rio da Economia, Inova\u00e7\u00e3o e Energia, por meio do Programa de Apoio \u00e0 Produ\u00e7\u00e3o de G\u00e1s Natural Renov\u00e1vel. Esse programa \u00e9 financiado pelo Fundo de Eletrifica\u00e7\u00e3o e Mudan\u00e7as Clim\u00e1ticas, dedicado exclusivamente ao combate \u00e0s mudan\u00e7as clim\u00e1ticas e \u00e0 implementa\u00e7\u00e3o das medidas previstas no Plano de Economia Verde 2030. A iniciativa est\u00e1 alinhada \u00e0 estrat\u00e9gia provincial de integrar 10% de g\u00e1s natural renov\u00e1vel \u00e0 rede de g\u00e1s natural at\u00e9 2030.<\/p>\n<p>Essa parceria representa o quarto projeto da Waga Energy no Quebec. Tr\u00eas unidades WAGABOX\u00ae j\u00e1 est\u00e3o em opera\u00e7\u00e3o em Saint-\u00c9tienne-des-Gr\u00e8s, Cowansville e Chicoutimi, com uma quinta unidade em constru\u00e7\u00e3o na Col\u00fambia Brit\u00e2nica.
