It will also mark Waga Energy\u2019s third deployment in Pennsylvania, and 13th in the US.<\/p>\n<p>The West Grove site, managed by SECCRA, processes waste from 24 municipalities and townships, representing a population of 105,000. It has an annual processing capacity of 150,000 tons of waste.<\/p>\n<p>Once commissioned in 2026, SECCRA\u2019s WAGABOX\u00ae unit will inject 67 GWh of biomethane per year into the local natural gas network, equivalent to the annual energy consumption of 4,300 American households. This production will avoid the emission of 15,000 tonnes of CO\u2082 equivalent per year, thereby actively contributing to the fight against climate change.<\/p>\n<p>The installation of WAGABOX\u00ae units reflects the commitment of all Waga Energy teams to supporting local authorities in their energy transition.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"et_pb_row_2 et_pb_row et_flex_row et_animated post-text-row\">\n<div class=\"et_pb_column_2 et_pb_column et-last-child et_flex_column et_pb_css_mix_blend_mode_passthrough et_flex_column_24_24 et_flex_column_24_24_tablet et_flex_column_24_24_phone\">\n<div class=\"et_pb_cta_1 et_pb_promo et_pb_bg_layout_light et_pb_module et_flex_module post-text\"><div class=\"et_pb_promo_description\"><div class=\"et_pb_promo_content\"><p>\u201cSECCRA has long been a pioneer in landfill gasto-energy initiatives, earning recognition from the EPA with the Project of the Year Award in 2007 for turning landfill gas into electricity.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Scott Mengle<\/strong><br \/><em>SECCRA General Manager<\/em><\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis new agreement with Waga Energy represents the next chapter in our commitment to sustainability.
