Using our patented WAGABOX\u00ae technology, the unit will process up to <strong>1,600 Nm\u00b3\/h of biogas<\/strong> and produce more than <strong>62 GWh of biomethane per year<\/strong>, injected directly into the local gas grid. This project responds to recent state environmental regulations requiring improved control of methane emissions from waste disposal sites.<\/div>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"et_pb_row_2 et_pb_row et_flex_row et_animated post-text-row\">\n<div class=\"et_pb_column_2 et_pb_column et-last-child et_flex_column et_pb_css_mix_blend_mode_passthrough et_flex_column_24_24 et_flex_column_24_24_tablet et_flex_column_24_24_phone\">\n<div class=\"et_pb_cta_1 et_pb_promo et_pb_bg_layout_light et_pb_module et_flex_module post-text\"><div class=\"et_pb_promo_description\"><h2 class=\"et_pb_module_header\">Environmental impact and decarbonisation<\/h2><div class=\"et_pb_promo_content\"><p>The project will avoid approximately <strong>12,200 tonnes of CO\u2082 equivalent emissions per year<\/strong> by capturing methane \u2014 a powerful greenhouse gas \u2014 and upgrading it into biomethane. This reduction is equivalent to around <strong>37 GWh of energy<\/strong>, comparable to the energy content of more than <strong>3.7 million litres of diesel fuel<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>By producing grid-quality biomethane and injecting it directly into the gas network, the project supports the circular economy and reduces dependence on fossil fuels through a local, reliable and renewable source of energy.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"et_pb_row_3 et_pb_row et_flex_row et_animated post-text-row\">\n<div class=\"et_pb_column_3 et_pb_column et-last-child et_flex_column et_pb_css_mix_blend_mode_passthrough et_flex_column_24_24 et_flex_column_24_24_tablet et_flex_column_24_24_phone\">\n<div class=\"et_pb_cta_2 et_pb_promo et_pb_bg_layout_light et_pb_module et_flex_module post-text\"><div class=\"et_pb_promo_description\"><div class=\"et_pb_promo_content\"><p>\u201cSelecting Waga Energy for this project represents a major step forward in Wicomico County\u2019s commitment to environmental stewardship, innovation and responsible landfill management.
