Scheduled to be commissioned by the end of 2025, the unit will help avoid the emission of <strong>2,400 tonnes of CO\u2082 per year<\/strong> by replacing fossil natural gas with biomethane. The gas produced will be injected directly into <strong>GRDF\u2019s distribution network<\/strong> to supply homes and businesses.<\/p>\n<p>The Monflanquin site, which processes nearly <strong>30,000 tonnes of waste per year<\/strong>, is mobilising local and regional stakeholders to maximise biogas capture and reduce its impact on the climate. Waga Energy has worked with Valorizon to optimise the biogas collection network, which was previously flared. Thanks to the WAGABOX\u00ae unit, this biogas will now be transformed into biomethane, providing the region with a clean, local, renewable and transportable source of energy.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"et_pb_row_2 et_pb_row et_flex_row et_animated post-text-row\">\n<div class=\"et_pb_column_2 et_pb_column et-last-child et_flex_column et_pb_css_mix_blend_mode_passthrough et_flex_column_24_24 et_flex_column_24_24_tablet et_flex_column_24_24_phone\">\n<div class=\"et_pb_cta_1 et_pb_promo et_pb_bg_layout_light et_pb_module et_flex_module post-text\"><div class=\"et_pb_promo_description\"><div class=\"et_pb_promo_content\"><p>\u201cThe partnership with Waga Energy is a real step forward for our project and for the region.
