Waga Energy announces the start-up of Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) production at the Hartland landfill site in British Columbia. The project, carried out in partnership with Capital Regional District (CRD) and FortisBC, is the first facility of its kind on Vancouver Island.<\/span><\/p>\n

The recovery unit uses\u00a0<\/span>hashtag<\/span>#<\/span>WAGABOX\u00ae technology to transform the gas produced by decomposing waste into RNG that can be injected into FortisBC\u2019s distribution network.<\/p>\n

Project highlights:
\u2013 Annual production capacity: up to 360,000 gigajoules of RNG
\u2013 Estimated GHG emission reduction: 475,000 tonnes of CO\u2082 over 25 years<\/p>\n

This project is in line with the climate objectives of British Columbia, contributing to the reduction of fossil gas use through the injection of locally sourced renewable gas.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n
