Waga Energy is proud to announce its expansion into the Brazilian market with the launch of a new subsidiary. With 850 operational landfills and nearly 3,000 open-air dumps requiring modernization, Brazil presents a significant opportunity for sustainable waste management and energy generation.<\/span><\/p>\n

Renewable Natural Gas (RNG)<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>production from landfill biogas offers not only environmental benefits but also significant economic incentives to drive the creation of modern, sustainable landfills. As Brazil works to integrate RNG<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>into its energy mix, this renewable fuel plays a critical role in reducing dependence on fossil fuels and improving air quality.<\/span><\/p>\n

The recently approved law \u201cLei do Combust\u00edvel do Futuro\u201d (PL-508) highlights Brazil\u2019s commitment to renewable energy, with economic measures that promote biomethane production and usage.<\/span><\/p>\n

Additionally, COP30 coming to Bel\u00e9m in November 2025, demonstrates the weight and responsibility that Brazil has in relation to local and global levels of greenhouse gas emissions.<\/span><\/p>\n
