RNG, a key pilar for the energy transition, is a local, renewable and competitive energy source that can substitute fossil-based fuels in transportation, industry and heating.<\/p>\n<p>As part of the commercial agreement, Waga Energy will deploy the capital required to fully fund construction of three RNG units, using its patented WAGABOX\u00ae\u00a0technology, and will own and operate them for 20 years. Commercial operations are expected to start in approximately 24 months given the timeline for permitting and construction.<\/p>\n<p>Casella, is amongst the Northeast\u2019s largest recyclers and is an experienced fully integrated resource management company.\u00a0<span class=\"TextRun Highlight SCXW125677002 BCX9\" lang=\"EN-US\" xml:lang=\"EN-US\" data-contrast=\"auto\"><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW125677002 BCX9\">Casella currently<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW125677002 BCX9\">operat<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW125677002 BCX9\">es<\/span><\/span>nine landfills in the northeastern United States.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><sup>1<\/sup>\u00a0Calculations based on the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) data. 63,000 tons of eqCO<sub>2<\/sub>\u00a0based on the comparative non-renewable and renewable natural gas emission factors in France according to French energy agency ADEME\u2019s carbon database and factoring in direct and indirect emissions.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"et_pb_row_3 et_pb_row et_flex_row et_animated post-text-row\">\n<div class=\"et_pb_column_3 et_pb_column et-last-child et_flex_column et_pb_css_mix_blend_mode_passthrough et_flex_column_24_24 et_flex_column_24_24_tablet et_flex_column_24_24_phone\">\n<div class=\"et_pb_cta_2 et_pb_promo et_pb_bg_layout_light et_pb_module et_flex_module post-text\"><div class=\"et_pb_promo_description\"><div class=\"et_pb_promo_content\"><p><em>\u201cWorking with Waga Energy is a great opportunity for our company to further enhance our strategy around resource management and sustainability.
